Brent Means, HydrologistBrent Means has been with OSM in Pennsylvania since 1999. Brent is the hydrologist for the office. His areas of focus include technical assistance to the state, TIPS coordinator, AMDTreat application development and maintenance, IRM representative, and special program analyses.

Fred Sherfy, Program SpecialistFred Sherfy has been with OSM since 1979. During that time he has worked in Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Fred's areas of focus include AML, program amendments, bonding, permitting, lands unsuitable for mining petitions, valid existing rights, NEPA, subsidence and wetlands. Fred teaches the NEPA course for OSM. |
Dave Hamilton, Program SpecialistDave Hamilton has been with OSM since 1978. During that time he has worked in West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Dave's areas of focus include historic properties, AML, ten-day notices, program amendments, citizen's complaints, Federal enforcement actions, bond forfeiture, SOAP, Appalachian Clean Streams Initiative and grants. |
Eric Brummer, Reclamation SpecialistEric Brummer has been with OSM in Pennsylvania since 1978. Eric's areas of focus include AML emergencies, and inspections in the Anthracite coal region. |

Supervisory Reclamation Specialist Joe Geissinger is the supervisor of the Johnstown Office and has been with OSM since 1979. |
Thomas Carstensen -
AML/R&I Program Specialist Tom joined OSM in September, 1978, as a Reclamation Specialist; he later transferred into the OSM's Abandoned Mine Lands program in 1982. Before working for OSM Tom was a Construction Inspector for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, abandoned mine lands reclamation program. He now serves as AML / Regulatory Program Specialist with duties in both the OSM emergency program and state AML program oversight. |

Isaac E. Isaacson (IKE)
-Reclamation Specialist Ike has been with OSM since 1979. He previously worked for the Federal Highway Administration (A Division under the US Dept of Transportation.), and the Inspector General. He has worked in Pennsylvania, Washington State, West Virginia and Washington DC. Ike began work in OSM as a Fee Compliance Auditor in the Johnstown, Pa office. Ike's areas of focus are site inspections and citizen complaint investigations in the Bituminous coal region. |
